Goalden Chyld

Qadir Hakim, known professionally as Goalden Chyld or G.C., is a Chicago artist whose music reflects his life experiences and his vision for a more just world. Raised by a single mother alongside four siblings, he faced economic hardship and periods of housing instability. Those experiences shaped his perspective on history, inequality and resilience and strengthened his resolve to use music as a voice for change.

He calls his style “real music,” creating songs that speak to freedom, justice and equality for all. Through his artistry and Unity Movement, Goalden Chyld invites listeners to reflect, connect and help build a better future.
