Dr. Aleta Clark is a social media personality, community advocate and founder of HugsNoSlugs. After losing her mother to a heroin overdose and being deeply affected by the murder of nine-year-old Tyshawn Lee, she turned grief into purpose. She created HugsNoSlugs to bring hope, safety and support to Chicago communities.

From joyful back-to-school events to mentoring young people, Aleta helps children feel seen and supported. She has also led GED programs and provided hot meals to people experiencing homelessness. During the pandemic, her relief centers offered families free groceries and protective equipment. Through her story and service, Aleta uses her voice to inspire kindness and bring people together.
